Breastfeeding and Stretchmarks
Breastfeeding and stretchmarks may not normally be heard in the same sentence, however, for any woman that is breastfeeding these two things go together. When you are breastfeeding, you want to ensure that everything you do, everything you use on your body, and everything you eat is good for your baby and will not have any adverse effects on your child. Therefore, if you have the desire to rid your body, including your breast, of stretchmarks that you received while you were pregnant you are more than likely afraid to try anything on your breasts and need answers as to what is really safe.
Your breasts more than likely received stretchmarks as the breast grew very quickly or because your breasts became engorged. No matter what the reason you are probably looking for a way to fade the stretchmarks or to get rid of them permanently.
Prevention is always better than the cure and once you have stretchmarks they will not fade away. There is no real cure that will totally diminish stretchmarks and no real preventive measure. There are ways you can help lessen your changes of getting stretchmarks.
As long as you are breastfeeding, you will need to use products that are safe for your nursing baby. The most common are 100% Virgin Olive oil, castor oil, cocoa butter, thiosinaminum, seaweed wraps, fruit and flower acids and alkaloids, and creams containing Vitamin C and Vitamin K.
The best way to use most of the items above is to rub them similar to getting a massage on your breasts, abdomen, or wherever you may have stretchmarks. Remember, the basic structure of your skin has been changed, the cell layers have been pulled apart, and there is no real cure to rid your body of these stretchmarks. Now, let’s look at what these products can do for your skin.
Castor Oil, Olive Oil, and Cocoa Butter have been used throughout history as a healing agent. These items are used for the prevention and treating of wrinkles, to lighten age spots, and if applied regularly while pregnancy may reduce the appearance of stretchmarks.
